Class Levels & Recommendations
At The Practice Space, learning is non-linear, and every class offers a unique opportunity for growth, regardless of its level. Whether you're new to movement or a seasoned practitioner, exploring different levels can deepen your understanding and enrich your practice. All-level classes welcome everyone, offering an inclusive space to explore movement with a deeply personal connection fostered by the teacher’s approach. These classes are designed to be adaptable, with modifications and progressions to meet the needs of every participant, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Foundational classes at Level 1 are not necessarily easy—they are the cornerstone of mindful movement practices. These classes focus on repetition and refinement, drawing from Yoga, Pilates, and CoreAlign traditions to cultivate a strong foundation. Rather than aiming for a specific workout goal, Level 1 classes at The Practice Space emphasize the process of executing the practice with intention and precision. You'll develop body awareness, proper alignment, core engagement, and breath control. Movements and poses are thoughtfully designed to help you gain confidence, improve mobility, and create sustainable movement patterns that support long-term growth.

Level 2 classes are for those with a solid foundation and a readiness to grow their practice. In all methods of mindful movement, small adjustments and progressions can transform simple actions into deeply challenging and rewarding experiences. These classes build on foundational skills by introducing more complex movement patterns, flows, and exercises that demand increased balance, coordination, and strength. With moderate resistance, dynamic transitions, and a focus on greater range of motion, you’ll not only refine your technique but also expand your physical and mental resilience, taking your practice to the next level.

At The Practice Space, the foundation built in earlier levels is designed to cultivate a deep familiarity with your body, empowering you to make informed decisions about your practice in every class. Level 3 challenges that sense of agency, encouraging you to trust your intuition as you navigate advanced movements, sequences, and rhythms in Yoga, Pilates, and CoreAlign. These classes push you to refine techniques while uncovering new layers of understanding and self-awareness. At this level, mastery isn’t about perfection but about embracing the feedback loop of learning—returning to the basics when needed, exploring foundational principles with curiosity, and growing through challenges. Evolve is about continuous learning, discovery, and embracing the ongoing journey of mindful movement.
Best for beginners
For newcomers to yoga and Pilates, we highly recommend starting with Habit 1 for Pilates or Hatha 1 for yoga. These classes serve as ideal entry points, offering a solid foundation rooted in the traditions of both disciplines. Incorporating modern scientific principles for physical alignment, breath work, and neurological understanding, these sessions provide a supportive starting point for every student, ensuring a safe and effective introduction to your practice.
Best for injury or stress
We highly recommend private sessions for everyone, but if you are injured or recovering, the expert support of one-on-one sessions becomes even more essential.
If private sessions are not financially feasible at this time, we also effectively support many injured students through our Reboot classes, available for both equipment and mat. These sessions focus on functional movement and provide a crucial starting point to aid in your recovery journey.
For those experiencing stress or seeking a gentler approach to support your nervous system, we suggest trying our Hatha Restorative, Restorative, or Yin classes. These slower-paced sessions offer ample time to ground yourself, connect with your breath, and find calm amidst life’s demands.
Best for athletic advancement
Are you seeking a physical challenge? Embracing the challenge can be both invigorating and uplifting, reminding us of our capability to conquer obstacles. If you're ready to push your physical limits, we recommend trying Vinyasa or Pilates flow classes, which offer dynamic sequences to challenge and strengthen your body. For a focus on building strength, consider exploring our Functional Flow and B-Squared classes.
If you're searching for the ultimate challenge to advance your equipment practice, try our Trade-off class. This high-energy, athletic session tests your speed and precision while providing a fun and dynamic environment to sweat it out and refine your alignment skills.
