Elizabeth has been passionate about movement her entire life, with a dance background that spans ballet, improvisation, and contemporary, as well as a broad exploration of many other dance styles.

She initially turned to Pilates to cross-train for dance but quickly developed a deep appreciation for its structure and the way it made her body feel more stable, balanced, and available for movement. In 2016, Elizabeth became certified with Elaine Hayes of MNT Pilates, where she honed her ability to be the “gentle butt kicker” she’s known for—guiding clients to step just outside their comfort zone while offering support and encouragement. Later, in 2019-2020, she completed her comprehensive certification with Krista Loveless and Jo McDonald at The Practice Space (formerly Cascadia Pilates), deepening her knowledge of anatomy and alignment. Elizabeth values the ongoing learning and exploration in her work, especially within a studio environment that fosters continuous growth. Pilates complements Elizabeth’s current favorite movement practices—dance, climbing, and biking—but she also values the practice on its own for the unique benefits it provides. For her, Pilates is more than just a workout; it’s a form of “body meditation”—a mindful practice that cultivates awareness, resilience, balance, longevity, and a deeper connection to oneself. She is currently fascinated by the concept of posture—how we hold ourselves—and believes that our posture is a reflection of our personality, spirit, and self-beliefs. Elizabeth feels that subtle shifts in posture can lead to profound changes in how we feel about ourselves and how we approach life.
