Liz

Liz McCausland (she/her) has been walking a spiritual path since Her teenage years, when she was first introduced to meditation and yoga.  Her teaching style is inclusive and both grief and trauma-informed.  Working with the body, breath, heart, and mind, her classes weave movement with contemplative practices.  Her training is rooted in alignment-based yoga and a person-centered approach.

After a profound loss in midlife, she found yoga asana and pranayama to be integral to her healing journey.  This inspired her to dive deeper into yoga science and philosophy.  She has been teaching in Portland since 2018 and completed her 200-HR & 300-HR teacher training at Yoga Bhoga.  Her training is also informed by additional training in the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, Reiki, meditation, Bedside Yoga, and Accessible Yoga.  She became a certified death doula in 2021 and completed her MSW in 2025, with a focus on end-of-life and grief support.

When off the mat, you can find her tending to her garden and dancing under the moonlight.
