Anne

Anne has been a student of yoga for 30 years and a teacher for 15 years. She is humbled and fascinated by this path that has taken her on a physical, intellectual and spiritual journey.

Trained by some of the world's most renowned teachers at the Esalen Institute, Anne brings a level of expertise that can be hard to find. She is trained in vinyasa, yin and prenatal yoga as well as tantric meditation from the Kashmiri Shaivism tradition. Her mission is to serve as a guide on the spiritual journey of each of her students.

She’s here to support her students as they find a truly meaningful experience in their practice by combining spiritual themes, guided meditation, poetry, and lots of love. She strives to create the space for her students to heal themselves, connect to source, discover their own spiritual purpose, and develop deeper relationships with themselves.

Tools like acupressure and qigong practices including movement, breathwork and self massage, all work to remove energy blockages and promote the smooth flow of chi. When integrated within a yin yoga practice, the result is a profound state of deep relaxation that can promote physical and emotional healing. Join Anne Witmer each month for a two-hour Yin Yoga class incorporating acupressure and qigong elements. Each month, the practice will focus on themes of the current season and nature’s corresponding element.
