What: The goal of Book Club is for community members to come together for contemplative study and inquiry. The reading and weekly discussions are intended to enrich the participants understanding of various yoga philosophies and provide guidance as to how to incorporate the teachings into one's daily life. Additionally, participants will meet, learn, and connect with other community members seeking to live a life guided by intention and purpose.
How: Book Club will meet for four consecutive Friday evenings to discuss the reading assignment for that week. Questions will accompany the week's reading to highlight important concepts and prompt deeper contemplation. The weekly discussions will have structure, but the atmosphere will be casual, warm, and welcoming as individuals and the group as a whole works through various ideas and philosophies.
Why: Many practitioners seek to have a better understanding of the philosophies that have shaped yoga over time. Book Club is an opportunity to explore yoga philosophy in a casual but intentional environment.
Who: Book Club is an opportunity for curious practitioners to learn more about the philosophical underpinnings of the yoga traditions.
